Gingerbread, also known as THE sweetest fluffiest squishiest chunkiest Pyrenees-Anatolian baby girl, is my first-ever pet! In 2024 I fell down the dog rabbit hole while volunteering at my local shelter, and I started wanting one of my own. I was really lonely after moving back to my hometown as an adult, and I needed a companion. My search for a sweet, gentle, loving dog with zero prey drive led me to the Texas Great Pyrenees Rescue, and after a few other "dog dates" I was matched with Ginger! When her foster started describing her to me over FaceTime, I knew there was going to be something special, because she reminded me of myself. She is a true introvert, and her extremely gentle nature is matched only by her shyness, but once she gets to know you, prepare yourself. You will never ever stop giving belly rubs!!!
